Dear >insert name<,

The 19th Annual Buddy Walk® (one-mile walk) will be held on Saturday, September 30.  I am the Captain of >insert team name here< who is honoring >insert name of honored walker<.

The Buddy Walk® is hosted by the Champaign Down System Network (DSN). This is the DSN’s only fundraiser and serves as an opportunity to celebrate and educate our community about Down syndrome.

Would you consider being a sponsor of our Team for the Buddy Walk®?

Our continued success depends on sponsors like you!  Over ninety percent of all money raised directly benefits members of the Champaign County Down Syndrome Network.

To learn more about the sponsorship opportunities, go to www.champaigndsn.org/buddywalk/sponsorships.  Here are more details about the DSN and the Buddy Walk®.

The Champaign County Down Syndrome Network (DSN) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that serves as a support network for families and professionals touched by Down syndrome in East Central Illinois.  Our mission is to raise awareness in our community by supporting inclusion, advocacy, education, and activities that enrich the lives of people with Down syndrome.

The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness.  It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community with over 250 events across the country and around the world. In the past year, 330,000 walkers collectively raised $14.2 million dollars, which is used to support local programs and services as well as national advocacy initiatives.

As you plan your budget for the remainder of 2023, please consider DSN for your charitable contributions.  Our members with Down syndrome will be able to meet their goals with the generous support of companies like yours.  We invite you to join us as a sponsor for our 18th Annual Buddy Walk®.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.  We sincerely hope you will support us this year.  Your funding will help all people with Down syndrome step towards a brighter future.

Sincerely,
